Monthly Highlight: The S Pearl St. Fairy Door

Fairy doors have a special way of connecting us to the magic of our past, and this month's custom highlight is a perfect example. We wouldn’t have started My Fairy Door if we hadn’t lived on S Pearl St., our first home and where our family began. This project holds a very special place in our hearts.

We worked with the architect to build this home and wanted to mimic some of the other Victorians in the neighborhood, especially given our narrow lot. Our family grew up on this street, and it means so much to us. The fairy door we created is a miniature tribute to the memories we made there.

Our favorite parts of this project were capturing the home's narrow, tall design and all the bright windows. The front porch, where we’d sit most Sunday mornings to watch people make their way to the farmers market, was also a must-have. The finished product is a perfect miniature replica of the home that started it all.
